The 56th Annual Symposium on Foundations of
Computer Science (FOCS 2015), sponsored by the IEEE
Computer Society Technical Committee on Mathematical
Foundations of Computing, will be held in Berkeley, California on October 18–20, 2015 (Sunday
through Tuesday).
Important Dates:
- Submission deadline: 5 p.m. EDT, April 2, 2015.
- Notification: by June 26, 2015.
- Final version of accepted papers due (camera-ready
deadline): August 14, 2015.
- Early registration deadline: October 2, 2015.
- Hotel rate cut-off: September 23, 2015.

KARPfest80
On Saturday October 17, the day immediately before FOCS 2015, the
Simons Institute for the Theory of Computing will host a celebration
of the work of Dick Karp on the occasion of his 80th birthday. This
event, which features a dozen speakers from across the spectrum of
theoretical Computer Science, will also be held at the DoubleTree
Marina Hotel, the same venue as FOCS itself. All participants are
asked to register to attend; registration is free, and is done in
conjunction with FOCS registration. Visit
