The FOCS 2004 social
dinner will be held in Rome at the National Gallery of Modern and Contemporary
Art. The Gallery, which is closed on mondays, will be especially open
for FOCS participants only, so that we can enjoy the unique experience
of having an entire Italian Museum at our own disposal!
The social event will start with a guided tour of the Gallery, which includes
masterpieces by Picasso, Mondrian, Pollock, Modigliani, Giacometti, Moore,
Burri, Sironi, Carrà, Kilmt, Capogrossi, Fontana, De Chirico, Boccioni,
Pomodoro, Manzù, Balla, Van Gogh, Monet, and many others, and will
end up with a banquet at the Caffè delle Arti.
The National Gallery of Modern and Contemporary Art is located in Viale
delle Belle Arti 131 and is easily reachable from the symposium location
(see map), even by a very pleasant walk
through Villa Borghese.
The cost of the social dinner, including the tour of the Gallery, is EUR
75 (NOT included in the FOCS registration package). Tickets can be purchased
on-line (*) with the FOCS registration page (strongly recommended).
Extra tickets can also be purchased on-site at the FOCS registration desk,
subject to availability.
(*) Those who have already registered for FOCS can purchase additional banquet tickets at the FOCS registration page by re-entering their personal info and by filling the banquet ticket field only.
